A selection of fine local musicians and spoken word artists have teamed up to raise money for the Big Issue North Trust.
The evening, at the King’s Arms in Salford, will feature music and spoken word from Guy Connor, Sam Kirkpatrick, Patchwork Rattlebag, Gordon Zola, Stolen Haven (acoustic) and MC Jefferama.
Oil portraits of members of Manchester’s homeless community (pictured) by Michelle Szkilnyk will also be on display at the event on 13 December.
Raffle prizes include signed works from poet JB Barrington and artwork from Szkilnyk.
Kirkpatrick, 25, from Manchester, has experienced homelessness since being brought up in care, and at times lived on the streets.
Music, he says in a video he made, helped him get through the worst times.
Big Issue North Trust provides additional services to vendors of Big Issue North magazine.
Tickets for the event are £5 plus booking fee.
