Disney continues its mission to breathe new life into its animated classics by remaking them as live action movies with The Jungle Book. Previous attempts have been varied, from the rather disappointing Alice in Wonderland and the pretty boring Cinderella to the fantastical Maleficent, but this latest update is a triumph. Saying The Jungle Book is live action is a little bit of a cop-out since the majority of its characters are CG animals but they certainly look real. Plus, with an all-star cast including Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Ben Kingsley and Christopher Walken bringing them to life this is the strongest of the adaptations and brings hope for future releases.
