As we head into December, it’s finally time to allow festive movies onto the screen. The Man Who Invented Christmas tells the story behind the creation of one of the best Christmas tales. No, not Die Hard, or Gremlins. Faced with a bout of writer’s block, a young Charles Dickens uses real-life inspiration to fuel his imagination to create his infamous character Ebenezer Scrooge. For those in a festive mood it’s a rather fun and different way to digest the repeatedly told A Christmas Carol. But if you prefer your festive cheer with slapstick and puns provided by fuzzy puppets, The Muppets Christmas Carol returns to cinemas next week too.
